Privacy Notice

Last updated: 2026-06-12  |  Version: v1

This Privacy Notice explains how Saral Gyan School, part of NAV Foundation (a CSR initiative of Saral Diagnostics) (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects and uses your personal data, and the rights you have over it. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. Under that law we are the Data Fiduciary and you are the Data Principal.

This notice is a standalone document and is not part of any other terms. It is available in English; on request we will provide it in Hindi or any other language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India — write to us at the contact below.

2. What we collect, why, and on what basis

We collect only what we need. The table lists each type of data, the purpose, and our lawful basis (consent).

DataWhen & whyBasis
Name, email address, message When you submit our contact form — so we can read and reply to your enquiry about donating, volunteering or fundraising. Your consent
Technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) Recorded by our web server to keep the site secure and detect or investigate misuse. Legitimate security safeguard (DPDP Rule 6)
Cookies Only strictly-necessary cookies needed for the site and your cookie choice to work. We do not run advertising or analytics cookies. See section 6. Your consent for any non-essential cookie

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated profiling or behavioural advertising.

3. How long we keep it

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our genuine follow-up, after which they are deleted, unless another law requires us to keep them longer. Security logs are retained for up to one year for breach detection and investigation, then removed. When the purpose is served, or you withdraw consent, we erase the related personal data.

4. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

  • Access — get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correct or complete — fix data that is wrong or out of date.
  • Erase — delete your data where it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it. This does not affect processing already done.
  • Nominate — name another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.

To exercise any of these, email saralgyanschoolnav@gmail.com with the right you want to use. We respond within 90 days.

5. Grievance redressal

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact our Grievance Officer first — you must use this internal channel before approaching the Data Protection Board of India.

The Grievance Officer, Saral Gyan School
Email: saralgyanschoolnav@gmail.com
We acknowledge and resolve grievances within 90 days.

If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

6. Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary cookies (for example, to remember your cookie preference). We do not currently set analytics or marketing cookies. If that ever changes, those cookies will stay blocked until you opt in, and you can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link (also in the footer).

7. Children

Our website is aimed at donors, volunteers and supporters, not at children. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18 through this site without verifiable parental or guardian consent, and we do not run behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children. An equivalent protection applies to persons with disabilities who act through a lawful guardian. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Who else may receive your data

We share personal data only with service providers (Data Processors) who help us operate, and only as needed:

  • Website hosting / email — to store the site and deliver your contact message to our inbox.
  • Google Maps — our contact page embeds maps; your browser contacts Google to load them. See Google’s own privacy policy.

We require our processors to apply security and breach-handling safeguards equivalent to our own, and we remain responsible for your data.

9. Where your data is processed

We aim to keep personal data within India. Where a service provider processes data in another country, we only use countries not restricted by the Government of India for such transfers.

10. Data breaches

If a personal-data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals without undue delay, and file the required report within the timelines set by law.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If we make a material change, we will issue a fresh notice and, where required, ask for your consent again.
